Please do not consider this place if you have actual clinical depression, because you will not find help here,- or at least with McKena. I have taken my daughter to So many counselors and therapists over the years, and we both felt lucky that she found one she liked. But after seeing McKena once a week for Months, she was suddenly abandoned by her. Just walked in as usual for her weekly appointment only to call me sobbing and telling me to come pick her up because she was refused service. No warning whatsoever it was coming.... read more
Don’t come here if you have moderate to severe mental health issues, they are not equipped or experienced enough to help you. They will give up on you, because abandoning vulnerable patients/clients when they’re at their lowest is apparently in their values for some reason. It’s so, so dangerous. It’s called client abandonment and it’s illegal, apparently they don’t know that here or that they could cause someone to end their life with this. Can’t say enough about this practice. Staff is kind and considerate and the therapists are top notch! Very cozy waiting area with coffee, tea, and water. Highly recommend!
I'm rating 3 stars based on 2 separate experiences. I saw Rick here for a while for PTSD and depression and he helped me save my life and marriage from the comfort of my home. The pricing was also very reasonable. I looked sooooo foward to our sessions. For ASD we started therapy and I was very specific about what my son and I needed from therapy and apparently EMDR isn't even recommended for those with aphantasia.
