Dr. Shilin is truly a godsend! I started meds in 2010 when I was 14 years old, and she is by far the best psychiatrist I have ever had. It is worth spending the extra money if she doesn't take your insurance. You can also submit your Superbills to your insurance because she has Out Of Network benefits. I have been stable for the past 5 years which is a record for me. I often wonder about how my life would have been different if I met her when I was 14 and just starting meds for the first time. Dr. Pandya is very kind, patient and understanding. She is always striving to help. Dr. Pandya listens to everything you need to say and always gives a compassionate answer. I highly recommend her,
It is deeply upsetting to encounter a doctor whose initial mission to help patients has been overshadowed by a focus on profit. Some practices seem to prioritize charging for every possible service, often without informing patients in advance. This group epitomizes the idea of 'read the fine print,' leaving patients feeling frustrated and misled. Unfortunately, patient care does not appear to be their top priority. Buyer beware
Be very careful requesting an appointment! I sent in the $500 they want for an intake with my request, got a call two days later saying "it wouldn't be a good fit", so they'll return my deposit. Guess what they didn't do? I had to call again and wait another day to hear it would take another 30 days to return my $500 to me, wildly unacceptable. Reccomend you instead find a practice that doesn't hold your money without treating you for a month and doesn't refuse you without explanation.
