We stayed at this charming little hotel which is just a hop skip and a jump from The Kee to Bala and it was such a great experience. Since there aren’t many accommodations in the area, we felt lucky to have gotten a room here. The owner and his girlfriend were amazing. The staff—Stephanie, Alberto, and Brandon (there were more, but I didn’t get all their names)—were incredibly helpful and friendly, and it was clear they genuinely cared about making our visit enjoyable. Stayed for two nights to see a show at the Kee. That’s the only positive thing about the place - it’s right across the street from the Kee. The room is a bed, a tv on the wall, a hanging dim bulb and a tiny bedside table with an ice bucket on it (took us most of the table). No glasses. Ice available downstairs in the bar apparently. There was no closet. No chair. Had to drape our jackets over our bags. The pillows were the thinnest pillows we have ever seen. No additional pillows were available when we asked. We spent Saturday night there. The bartenders were incredible. The food was excellent. The bed was comfortable. The drag show was very well done.

Plugging in my straightener cut the power in our room on a day it was 35 degrees. Even the air conditioner outside the room stopped. Tried to call the front desk 5 times, they did not answer. Place is old so there is no elevator which is fine but that’s why we have phones. So I walk down the three sets of stairs to find the girl at the front desk on the phone… she says she needs to call the maintenance guy to see where he is for him to come and fix it.
