We love many things about the WA/OR coast and Columbia River in this areay, but we have never enjoyed a stay in any place like this one! The eye for detail was truly amazing, esp. all the wood craftsmanship. And the setting was fantastic. We can't wait to go back.
My car got totaled late on my final night here. Kathryn and Eddie could not have been more hospitable or eager to assist. They allowed us to extend our reservation an additional night, and gave us late check out on our final day. Eddie delivered ice to our front door to help keep the salmon we had caught fresh. They offered to drive us to Oregon to get a rental car. And were very much there to be guiding examples of what hospitality is.
Booked a stay here because the location was ideal for hiking at Cape Disappointment State Park, plus it looked really cute, and we were NOT disappointed! Lovely setting, comfy bed, awesome shower, gorgeous view, and several visits from local wildlife made it a fantastic weekend. The deer just wandered on up every night, practically to the front door! The manager gave us helpful hiking suggestions, and it's also a quick trip to Astoria, OR, which is a great spot. Loved it here, highly recommend!
