Scam. I ordered 25 cupcakes to be delivered to my daughter’s dorm. They were never delivered. I had input her phone number as the contact. She was never notified on the number, nor was I through my email that provided, that they were delivered. Instead, they make you download the app called Shop. Thanksgiving Treat. My niece and her family sent my husband and I 25 mini cupcakes. Absolutely delicious and fresh. Enjoying the cupcakes the night before Thanksgiving.
The cupcakes themselves are underwhelming, with a strong artificial flavor and excessively sweet. However, my primary concern is the packaging. We received 30 tiny cupcakes encased in several pounds of non-recyclable plastic, foam, and freezing gel. This excessive packaging is environmentally damaging and will persist in our soil and waterways for centuries. Such unsustainable practices are unacceptable, and businesses that operate this way should reconsider their business model.
Website is deceiving and lets you pick a Sunday delivery date that is not actually possible as they use FedEx for deliveries. Does not specify either that deliveries come from NY and not your local location. There are no obvious disclaimers when you purchase online that your delivery may not get to you on the day that you scheduled.
