I had a pretty disappointing experience at the Baked by Melissa location in Roosevelt Field Mall. The sales associate, Alejandra, was unfortunately not helpful or welcoming. She seemed uninterested in answering questions and acted like I was bothering her by simply ordering. Customer service is a big part of what makes the Baked by Melissa experience enjoyable, so it was surprising and honestly off-putting. I love the cupcakes, but I left feeling frustrated. The 3.9 average review is not surprising. If you notice, Melissa does not respond to her negative reviews because she obviously does not care. I have been a loyal customer for many years and I have reached the end of my rope with the horrendous customer service. If you have an issue the answer is always NO! They don’t care about their customers. I actually argued back and forth with a rep named Christina over a $10 gift box that I earned rightly through the rewards program. I drove an hour to go here. It’s really unfortunate because I’ve had baked by Melissa cupcakes at JFK and they were so good. At the mall there was only 6 available flavors and the girl took one batch away because she said they were not edible. The remaining cupcakes I got did not taste fresh at all. They looked and tasted like they were sitting there for a few days. 45$ down the drain did not sit right with me.
