Hey Friend. Thought this should go viral! I am at the El Baka Ranch Market in Monrovia CA. I was appalled as I walked in and saw that rice and other basic essentials are being gouged. Rice was 59 cents a pound and now it’s 1.99 a pound. And other items are similar. I called the manager out and she said it was the owners. So I ask; isn’t it against some sort of standard or law to have this happen? I can say the manager started to remove the prices almost immediately. Amazing staff and produce! I hope the boomers do boycott this place so there’s more produce for me and shorter lines. I love supporting my local Latin American market and will continue to do so. Ignore the hate and continue to run your business as you see fit.
This is supposed to be a community market yet they are blatantly price gouging the community. How unethical and immorale.
