Great spot, had a good time here with my family on a few occasions. So why the 2-stars? On my most recent trip out there, I was curious and asked the lady at the entry shop if the Bailey family lives nearby or on property? She mentioned the property was actually sold and now owned by a group of Israeli investors, not the Bailey family. That really took the lustre away from the experience.
Shocked to see the change of the Bailey Resort- married here several years ago and had the opportunity to connect with the original owners. Although it appears to be attractive and manicured - it seems to be reminiscent of a 'high class KOA campground.' Wooden signs are latched onto a historical building, unnecessarily needed. So astonished to see a grass lawn where ancient Black Walnut trees that we lovingly exchanged our vows under have, seemingly, been cut down. Great location, not too far from freeway
Everything about this place is wonderful. The accommodations are so well thought through, everything you might need is there. The construction is well crafted, wonderful flooring, beautiful bathrooms, an awesome kitchen in our yurt, everything was well done. The roaming wild turkeys, the dogs, goat and sheep were also fun to spend time with. The playground was the best we had ever seen. The zip line was so much fun and that is the best trampoline around.
