About this business
History Established in 1990. Blake Buchanan started the first location in Lubbock, TX with one ice shaver and the hope of a college job that didn't involve mowing grass or flipping burgers. Constructing the original store by hand, he enlisted volunteer help from three generations of his family, staffed it with friends and college students, and opened the doors. Delicious while it lasted. I got the Sweet Hurricane and my wife got the Mangonada Extreme. The top 1/4 of the cup had plenty of flavor. Once you get through the top, it's just solid unflavored ice. 15$ for the 2 wouldn't have been bad if they had enough flavor.
What happened? The snow is not as smooth anymore. It is almost as bad as the old school sno-cones. There was unflavored spots and chunks in the middle. Bahama Bucks used to be the place to go for a shaved ice. This was sad and disappointing.
Do not go to this location unless you want ice. We ordered 7 snowcones and all of them had no syrup. Mind you we were the only customers in there. Please do better
Excellent experience for a first timer despite the negative reviews! The shaved ice was amazing, both flavors strawberry banana and pop rocks! Great customer service and fast drive thru experience! Will return.
