Bacon installed a new tankless water heater and I signed up for their Friends and Family ongoing service to have no cost checkups going forward. They call constantly to schedule, which is good but the issue I have is that they continue to cancel on me every time I schedule a routine maintenance visit. My 89 year old father called Bacon on a Saturday morning. He specifically asked if he would be charged a weekend fee because if so he would wait until Monday to have his hot water heater repaired. They said no weekend fee. They said it would be $39 travel fee only. After an hours work AND my dad supplied the part, he was charged $500. My dad asked for an invoice after paying. Sounds and seems to me that this company has basically the same method each time of scamming people out of their money. Their "Family & Friends" plan is another way they make money. Before doing any work, the front office is so friendly including technicians. It's quite an impressive show. Then they go upstairs to supposedly do the work. This is what they said they did (even though they weren't up there long enough to do what the job list said they did.) Beware of their free once or twice a year FREE check up. Bacon charged me $1726 to replace a leaking customer valve and the pipe of 15 inches long which connects the customer valve to the water meter. It was a rip off. The fair price should be much less. It was my mistake to accept the price as I don't know much about plumbing and didn't do research about the company or the cost to do similar job. Stay way from this company. I do not recommend this company for anything. Avoid Bacon plumbing, electrical, hvac, drains, roofing and whatever else they tell you they know how to do. If they do this type of work on a commercial property I can only imagine what they would do at your house. I complained about the unprofessional job they did with foil tape so they came back and put a boot on like they should have done from the beginning.
