Got a pre trip service and rear brake callipers, rotors and pads replaced, reasonably quickly and priced…. Later found out they put the wrong pins in the callipers - which could have lead to serious consequences for us, on a road trip to Alaska… with faulty brakes!! They didn’t pick up the phone or return voicemails - (we were already on route so couldn’t make it back to them after it got seriously dangerous to drive, as the callipers were walking) Pretty disappointing after a few friends had recommended Backyard.
In for gas line repair. It had a new tank new fuel pump already installed. It was running very good but the steel fuel line rotted out. He charged me for a new fuel tank and some gas line repair. $1000.oo Now it has multiple misfirers. That engine needed nothing and was running good. STAY AWAY
The guys helped me out right away. Drove in from out of town and had a leaking/blown battery. I dropped the car off in the early am and before I was even home they called with a diagnosis. I was expecting a big bill and after ruling out all the bad, they just replaced the battery. The price was beyond fair and they also topped up my washer fluid without being asked. Great customer service.
I was travelling to Fernie for an appointment with my young daughter in the car when my car began having issues. I called around town and everyone was too busy to have a quick look. Backyard Mechanical did me a huge solid and squeezed me in. They were quick in both diagnosing and fixing the issue. Thank you so much for helping me out and giving me the peace of mind to get home safely!
I have a car with high mileage. When I took it in for engine misfires, these guys diagnosed the issue quickly and let me know what the fix would be and how much it would cost. They also let me know about other things which could be an issue with the car in the future. They had great communication, quick service, and a reasonable price.
