Have taken Backwoods Airboats several times, it just keeps getting better. Rides are really fun and our guide Chelsea is super knowledgeable and informative. I have and do recommend Backwoods to anyone looking for a great day out.
This trip was amazing...gators were laying low and water was high, but this was a great adventure. Will take the kids next time. Chelsea is a BOSS!
After 26 years living in FL I finally went out for an airboat ride. Captain Chelsea was excellent, she took us to see the wildlife and showed us very unique landscape Florida has to offer. We took the sunset ride, so we saw plenty of alligators, turtles, birds and even cattle. It reminded me of a book called "A Land Remembered". Chelsea has ear protection, other local recommendations, and skills to ride the airboat. Had a great trip! The staff was very courteous and helpful with my 80 yr old mother who took a little extra effort to get aboard. They made her feel welcome and not rushed. The tour of the lake was so much fun!!
