You can literally die while trying to reach someone/anyone by phone. This is an on going issue with HHC and is only getting worse. Shame on you.

We recently had to bring a family member to the emergency room, and I can’t say enough about the level of care we received. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with kindness, professionalism, and genuine compassion from the patient registration team. The nurses were absolutely wonderful. They were attentive, reassuring, and incredibly thorough. They took the time to explain each step, checked in often, and made a stressful situation feel much more manageable. By far the worst hospital that I have ever been to I bring my daughter in because she is sick and having trouble breathing. Long story short sat in the er for 3 hours and still didn’t see a doctor they came out in the the er in front of everyone and did a nose swab on her and told us they would be with us shortly going on 4 hours and still haven’t seen a doctor this place shouldn’t even be open this place is a JOKE!!! No Exaggeration at all and I know nothing will get done about it at all pathetic

Patient waiting three hours see the doctor at ER, some patients calling for nurses, they never come see the what’s going on special older patients they ignored them. Patients treatments are extremely expensive, so they need better treatment to patients. Hope change culture at ER and treatment as human beings at Backus ER. I had been few times they get worst and worst treatment to patients. If you have not medicare then you can’t afford AT Backus ER.
