Come to this wonderful little cafe when you’re in Gunnison..We arrived for a late lunch almost at closing time (their sign says they close at “2’ish”). It was great! The energy and enthusiasm of the staff was infectious. Everyone was pleasant and welcoming, the food was excellent, and we just thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Busy but quick about getting you in asap. Wonderful food and friendly servers. Awesome strong coffee!
Outstanding experience all around. The greeting at reception was polite and welcoming, and our table was ready right on schedule. Food arrived within a reasonable window, hot and full of aroma. The entire front-of-house team works seamlessly to keep diners happy.
This restaurant delivers on every front. The atmosphere is warm and intimate, making it great for date nights or meaningful catch-ups. The menu offers great variety without being overwhelming, and the execution is consistently excellent. We left completely impressed.
Leaving our Airbnb south of Crested Butte we were in need of some brunch, Back Country Cafe popped up in my suggestions on Google maps with really good reviews. The food definitely lived up to the hype. The cinnamon roll was really good and is pretty big, we split it 6 ways and each person got a decent slice of roll. The breakfast tacos were really good so were the home fries and huevos rancheros. The only critique is that the pork green chili sauce needed more heat, it was very mild.
