If you want to have a fun and memorable experience from your visit to the San Juan Mountains, you’ve simply got to check out Bachelor Syracuse Mine. There’s so much rich mining history here, I really can’t recommend taking a tour enough!
Our group had a great time touring the mine on October 12. Stan our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the operations and process, and did a great job with the kids on the tour, keeping them engaged and patiently answering questions. While the overall tour is somewhat abbreviated, it is well worth the price and I would highly recommend it to anyone in the area. I was so impressed with our tour. The guide learned the kids names and kept the whole thing very conversational and fun. He had a wealth of knowledge!

Really fun little adventure for the entire family! Takes about an hour. Well done and entertaining. Pretty cool to be able to go so far in the mine and they even had gold panning for the kids when we got out. Would definitely recommend
