second chance – my husband and i decided to give Bacco's a other chance,we love it ,the food was very good, the owner was very charming,we are recomminding Bacco's to our friends.
excellent food, rude owner – I went to eat there and have to admit the food is excellent, but the experience not so much. After we finished eating there (agree to the other reviews the owner is there and drinks and uses profanities in front of guests, scowls at staff), we went across the street to the cafe, and after an hour we went back to the parking lot of the restaurant..just in time when it was closing and the owner I thought was going to yell at my friend and was very violent because he thought we parked in his parking... read more
Great Experience! – Our party of 7 was made to feel very welcome even though we were on the late end of the night.. The food was excellent and the service even better (Stephanie). The prices of the specials were a bit ridiculous, but we didn't ask, so our fault. I would highly recommend.
My Fav in Rochester – This is my favorite restaurant in Rochester. Cozy Atmosphere, great service, scrumptious food, good portions. Order the Penne quattro formaggio (even if it not on the menu). It is a great, rich, pasta with shrimp. And if they have it on the menu, order the no-flour chocolate cake for dessert. Have not had a single bad meal and have probably eaten there around 20-30 times. The owner and his wife both go out of there way to be friendly and helpful. Despite prior reviews I have never been rushed out of the... read more
If You Want To Be Rushed Out The Door or Filled and Billed Dine Here :( – We had a bad time at this eatery a few weeks ago. Not only were we rushed through the dining process we noticed the owner at the bar getting drunk as he verbaly abused his staff. UGH, do not dine here if I were you. There are WAY better Italian restaurants in this city...and the Park ave atmosphere on this particular section of Park ave is more of a minus than a plus. Just two buildings down is low income housing...we felt a bit nervous parking our car... read more
How to have a dinner out ruined! – We met another couple we had not seen in a few months last night at Bacco's. We had a cocktail and talked. After about 20 min the owner informed us that we had better order NOW as we only could stay at the table for 1 more hour. He was much more concerned about flipping the table that about us as customers. This ruined our dinner, non of the four of us rember what the food was like and none of us will return after such rude treatment from the owner. I guess the resturant would be OK if you ... read more
simple and classy – hurray for really simple and elegant food. bacco staff is exceptional, as is the italian food. highly recommended.
Great Food, Great Service – I brought my parents to Bacco's b/c of it's location (I lived around the corner at the time) and was surprised at how upscale it was. Our dinner averaged $50/person including two bottles of wine which was just what we were looking to spend. My parents loved it and the service was excellent. If you're looking for a nice place with great food to impress your date - or your parents - this is it!
good service in a cosy environment – Nice, small restaurant, rochester upscale, good service. Tasty entrees but used same side dishes with all. Very good deserts. Mixed wine list (California, French, Italian). Also have outdoor seating on Park Ave. weather permitting. Competitive pricing.
