Had to attend the dentist yesterday for a broken tooth. Dr Vani and Maggie her nurse/assistant went out of their way to ensure i had an appointment before the long weekend. I dislike going to the dentist as i have had lots of dental work done as a child and also suffer with very weak teeth ( so a lot of childhood trauma) I walked in to the surgery and immediately felt at ease. Had a great experience today after experiencing a lot of pain in my jaw and gums. Rom and Maggie were extremely comforting, professional and took great care of me. Having avoided the dentist for a while I walked out feeling like I would happily go back for check ups.
I was 10 minutes late for my dental appointment, having rushed straight from work. When I arrived, my dentist was visibly angry. While I understand her frustration, her reaction was aggressive and intimidating. She even seemed to notice I was scared and shouted, "What do you think I'm going to do, hurt you?" At that moment, I wanted to run out. Her bedside manner was unprofessional, and her temper was extreme.
