Posting again since it got taken down. People need to hear about it. I spent months going through hoops for the security checks and job histories for my job application. Making sure I had everything down correctly. I passed everything, got given a starting date, GREAT!! Turn up my first day there only for them to tell me that there was a discrepancy somewhere. Babcock need to avoid giving their candidates false hopes by giving the contract and offer letter to then withdrawing the offer based on a false reference by the previous job. They made me go through extensive screening and this took so long I was having to constantly chase them for an update. The communication was so bad that their external screening providers were saying different things like where Babcock said I failed to security clearance but security clearance said I passed. Not work related but absolutely disgusted my partner was supposed to start today, after two months of them asking him to do their procedures with filling in forms etc and taking their sweet time getting back to him he went in today to be told they no longer want him . Said they contacted him which was lies, basically waited till the first day to shame him rather than make a conscious effort and inform him he can no longer attend. Worked for macniellie and Babcock for 34 years retired at 72 and not one of the senior management could be bothered to shake my hand and wish me happy retirement. Most disgusting directors in England.
