We came during the labor day weekend, so they were very busy. They took 30 minutes to bring the appetizer out. The soft shell crab roll and Bun cha is decent, but the chili own prawn noodle is so bland and costs $31. That’s a ridiculous price for no flavor and character noodle. This place has a lot of hype, but to me, it does not live up to the hype unfortunately.
The food was pretty good but not great. Got the truffle dumplings the sauce was good but it was kind of cold all together, chicken fried rice was good but very salty and chicken was chewy, karage bahn MI was a la carte for $19 and the karage was soggy with not a lot of chicken. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing dining experience. The biggest concern was that our wontons were not fully cooked — when we cut them open, there was still visibly dry/raw-looking dough inside. I’ve attached photos because it was quite obvious. The overall experience wasn’t much better. The floor felt greasy, the seats were very uncomfortable, and the food took a long time to come out. Just amazing. Cocktails, food, everything is just really good. Staff is great and went out of their way to try to make us the dish we wanted even though they were out of ingredients for what we wanted. Tamarind Sour and Korean coffee are my favorite drinks there.
