Disgusting experience, and it's not even over yet! We went to B Street Music in search for an amplifier. They didn't have the one we wanted, but they offered to order it for us, and said that we would have it in a week. Time was up, we went to pick up our order (we had already been charged for it) just to realize that THEY HAD *NOT* EVEN PLACED THE ORDER!!! On top of it, they told us that they didn't know when our order would arrive... It just stinks, I won't ever buy anything there, and I won't recommend it to anyone.
Instruments They have all your instrument needs here whether you want to buy or rent. They have all kinds of books and sheet music. Their prices are reasonable. Parking is a little difficult,
Big Quality Per Square Foot This place is amazing; a converted two-story row house, it's packed (ie. careful, there's not a lot of room to walk around) with a huge selection of quality musical instruments. For such a tiny place, they sure have everything you could ever think of -- guitars (electric, acoustic, acoustic electric, even some banjos), drums (acoustic, electric), and I'm fairly certain somewhere in the store is a collection of wind instruments, too. It's not actually on B Street anymore, but that's a good thing! The latest location is much larger. It's got two floors of musical instruments, practice rooms, an outdoor covered jam space, recording gear and supplies like strings, picks, earplugs, etc. The drums have their own space, as do guitars and keyboards. Gary has been in business for decades, and he's a musician himself so go and get a deal because he's got 'em!
