Cody baker is a Godsend to work with. He repaired my basement two years ago and responds whenever I have a concern even if it has nothing to do with his work. I have had him install drainage on top of basement waterproofing and I recommend him by far compared to anyone in the area. He stands by his work and his word.
We hired Cody to address water issues on a basement wall after rainstorms. He completed the work and, within a couple months, the water issues had clearly not been improved upon. We wanted him to come back over and take a look and to discuss options with him, but we have tried off and on over the course of a YEAR to get ahold of him. He will not return calls or messages. Ghosting customers is not EVER acceptable.
My experience with B.D & Sons Basement Waterproofing, specifically with Cody, was the absolute worst home repair decision I have ever made. We chose Cody despite receiving the most expensive quote because he came highly recommended by someone from our church—a referral we trusted. That trust was completely misplaced. Check the BBB website where the complaint says Cody blamed his mistake on the homeowner. This is the general experience: defensive and belligerent if the job doesn’t go as planned, and unwilling to correct their mistakes. Paint flaking a week after the job, wall cracked from the job, the solution is to caulk it, missed meetings, texts and calls unanswered. Beware. Happy to take your money, mad and unwilling if he has to fix any mistakes because the job wasn’t easy money.
