We hired Aztec Masonry to put in 2 retaining walls and remove existing soil . After completion he bid the next contract to high , to put some gravel in and we did not go forward . We were shocked to find out that he “ Leo the owner “ placed a false lien on our property for 6,200. Dollars , the price of his bid to put down gravel . We had to sue him in small claims court and won . He has refused to pay us back and now doesn’t have a contractor’s license in California . We love Leo and his crew. They work quickly and efficiently. We have used them 3 times so far for different sized retaining walls and couldn’t be happier with the product. Highly recommend and will be using Aztec in the near future for another wall. Thanks Leo

I’ve given Aztec Masonry my highest recommendation. I hired them to repair two stone pillars and two rock walls at the entrance to our property. The pillars and walls were constructed with local Sonoma stone and configured in a dry stack design. Because the original mortar had begun to deteriorate, stones were loosening and falling onto the ground. Had an unusual need for a skilled and knowledgeable mason. My lentel bar for my brick fireplace had been cut out during a fireplace renovation. Installing the proper lentel bar without destroying the brick fireplace called for an expert. Leo is an expert. He was able to remove a few bricks, install a 3"x3"x48"x1/4" iron lentel bar and restore bricks and mortar to make the fireplace safe once again. Thank you Leo and your fantastic crew for the outstanding brickwork on my mother in law's mobile home skirting. Often times it's more challenging to do repairs as opposed to new work, but Aztec did an amazing job to restore the existing wall and most of all, give mom peace about getting the repair job done.
