While this doctor is knowledgeable, she can be rude and condescending when working with adults with intellectual disabilities and their parent(s). While working to advocate for my daughter, she used medical terminology my daughter did not know. As I asked her to explain ‘bolus,’ she straightforwardly told me to stop speaking as she wanted to speak only with my daughter - who struggles to process and understand medical jargon. Dr Bakar will never let you down. I moved from Illinois to Florida and I became out of a vital prescription for my type 1 Diabetes. Because my appointment with a local doctor was weeks away, Dr Bakar sent a refill to a local pharmacy in Florida, even I am not her patient anymore. This is how a real doctor can help.
