I got nexplanon, my fingers went numb and I had my period for 7 weeks and she would not take it out. I was traveling internationally and needed to get it taken care of. She refused to give me an alternate birth control before giving this “a fair chance.” When I said going without birth control wasn’t an option she would not listen. Thorough and , efficient.Dr. Usman at first seemed preoccupied but after a few visits I realized it was her style. Some days, we all have different moods. I took that into consideration and stuck with her and I was glad I did.

It took forever to contact this doctor. I must have left 3 messages and still didn’t get a call back. I eventually called again and was able to finally get an appointment. The staff was very polite and helpful. The doctor however was roughly handling me. She barely listened to what I had to say. And She seemed distracted and unconcerned. Was considering her for my surgery decided against it for she may just rip out my Uterus and patch me with a bandaid. Heard about her from a nurse working at another hospital . Found her much more compassionate than what I had heard about her. I did not feel rushed at all. Seemed like for the first time a doctor ACTUALLY LISTENED. The staff was very nice too. Before I knew it, my Exam was done. I put it off for so long with the fear of pain, had I known that if you are in good hands, no need to be scared of, I would not have waited that long to see a doctor .
