Outstanding service, staff and quality of procedures. Well done
I’m extremely disappointed with the Axess Sexual Health service. I visited with clear STI symptoms—persistent discharge, pain, and discomfort—and was turned away without being seen, despite the clinic being open and advertised as offering support for symptomatic cases. I was told they are only seeing patients in emergencies like sexual assault or HIV exposure. Service is clearly overrun. Turning people away, even with symptoms, exacerbating their own problems. The less people that are seen, the more STDs are able to spread, not to mention the damage to people's fertility whilst living with symptoms. I can understand why people catch STDs now, because a lot of people are turned away and are probably reluctant to use the service, because the chances of being seen are so low. They need more staff to keep up with the demand that has in turn been created by a lack of staff.
