We have a Zip Dee power awning on our Airstream.. Recently we purchased a Zip Dee add-on sunshade from a private vendor at a rally. When we got home and I prepared to do the install, I discovered that the hardware was missing from the package. (I suspect that the vendor had removed it for some other purpose-my bad for not checking) I called Zip Dee customer service. Ms. Johnson at their Customer Service knew exactly what it was, and sent me the needed parts overnight. No charge. Super customer service. Thank You JWB

We purchased a 2024 27-foot Flying Cloud Airstream from Airstream of New Hampshire in September 2025 and have been very happy with the trailer overall. Unfortunately, we experienced an issue with the casing on the travel-side awning manufactured by Zip Dee Awnings. After using the trailer only about five times, we noticed the awning casing had become discolored and appears to be flaking. Have a pottery barn edition Airstream. Used the awnings about 15-20 times over the last 2.6 years. Warranty is 2 years and the part malfunctioned after the end of the warranty period. I called the company to see if they could help me and tried to plea the case that the awning never operated correctly from purchase (had to keep pressing the button to retract vs. one touch which is how it is supposed to work) and it was not the best experience. I've purchased a used Airstream, and sometime later had a problem with the factory awning. Randy at Zip Dee Awning tech support spent a lot of time helping my son and me diagnose the problem. I purchased a refurbished arm, and once again Randy was very patient and gave excellent guidance to assist us in installing it. When you return the defective arm, they give you a partial refund of the purchase price. Cici helped me with the return of the awning. I have a 08 Luberty Prevost. It will be another month without a motor and my awning. Motors are 4 to 6 weeks out and now I wont have it for the better part of the season. Very poorly run logistics and Parts operation with vendors having no back up plan or the care to create one. One motor vendor with a problem which effects all. Very very disappointed and discouraged.
