We found them online and liked the fact that their web-site noted they serviced business all over VA including our area. We made an appointment roughly two months ago to receive an estimate on a large job to provide shade at our pool. Despite waiting 2 months and their web-site noting they serve this area, they cancelled the appointment the afternoon before, nothing they had no idea when they would be able to service our area as they are under-staffed. Underwhelmed to say the least in how this was handled.

SInce we can find no way to reply to false information, we are taking the time to reply to the below review from Teresa N. 4 days ago. In 2018, three years ago this person ordered a canopy, then decided (after the contract was written, and the product was ordered) that she wanted a different color. We attempted to make the change with the manufacturer, but the product came in from the supplier as it was originally contracted, and our installation staff did not notice because that was the color on the contract. Must read: Other than having a permanent, aluminum awning installed in the wrong color, wrong size, 4 posts cut into my deck, with the wrong downspouts, and only a 1/2" opening to clean the gutter system that cuts your fingers when trying unclog the cutter, they're awesome - NOT! Don't use this mis-managed, over-priced poor excuse of an awning company. I'd put up an umbrella before I hired this company again!

My sumbrella retractable awning had been installed by a small company over 10 years ago who is now out of business. I called Bigley & Hogshire and explained the situation. I believe her name was Christine. She set me up for a cleaning on June 1st not knowing the condition of my awning. Steve and CJ arrived and were pleasantly surprised at the condition of the awning as I kept it up rolled up the majority of the time. INCREDIBLY pleased with the job done by Awnings by Bigley & Hogshire. Taylor Bigley personally drove from Newport News on a SUNDAY to my home in Chesterfield (~2 hours one way) to meet with my contractor in order to make sure that we were all on the same page. This was a fairly large job (for residential) and Taylor and his team did it to perfection! HIGHLY recommend them!! Comments from our friends and family: WOW!!!
