I took my bluestar portable welding machine which I also purchased from Awisco for service and repairs including new muffler, starter, carburetor, and a oil change. I paid over $1,800 for the job. The following day I took it to a job site and less that two hours of running it it blew up the motor. I brought it back to Awisco and they told me I ran it out of oil. Last week, I visited the Awisco office in West Orange. It was an unplanned visit; I was just passing by. As usual, I was curious about how customer-oriented Awisco really is and whether its products meet standards. I got to have my gas tank charged, but they were not kind at all, they said no.
My son is new to welding and was having an issue with his mask. We didn't initially purchase it at AWISCO and had not read the reviews before going to the West Orange location. We went with the idea of purchasing a new helmet, but the gentleman at the counter, Fabio Fernandez jumped right in and began to take a look at the helmet to see if it could be repaired.
