Hello everyone, It's been a few months since my fiancée and I rented a camper from Autosleepers/Awesome Campers. Unfortunately, this experience was more than "just" a disappointment. You have to warn against this company! We booked a 2-berth Toyota Hiace. We knew we weren't booking a "premium" vehicle, but the pictures in the description/advertisement were absolutely perfect! Wouldn’t rent here. Unfortunately we had to as we rented from Brisbane to Cairns and the company doesn’t have an office in Brisbane. Waited 45 mins before someone said hello and started the check out process with us.
We hired an 'El Grande' called Nemo for a week from the Brisbane depot. We were lured in by the very cheap prices knowing that the cheap price would probably mean compromise somewhere - but we had to compromise on an unroadworthy van which was scary to drive, and incredibly poor customer service. We picked the van up Saturday morning 10am, there were 2 people in front of us and only one person dealing with the check-in.
