Dr. Awana is the best therapist I have ever had. She is the only therapist that actually gave me tools to deal with my OCD and goals to hit. Her method of therapy has helped me so much and I am so happy I found her
I saw that Dr. Awana was given poor reviews. I’m somewhat skeptical on people’s expectations and the efficacy of therapy, but she definitely helped me get through some stressful and difficult times and to get some perspective. I was upset by the poor review I saw. Didn’t seem fair. Dr. Awana isn’t perfect, no therapist is, but she is right for a lot of people that need help and perspective.
I've seen Pamela Awana off and on for the last 20+ years. I think it's been over 5 years since I've seen her. Dr. Awana did more for me in once-a-month appointments than any other therapist did for me when I was meeting with them weekly. She is one of the few therapists I went to that I can say actually helped me. She did share anecdotes from other patients she's treated, but she never used their names just used the anecdotes help me understand how to apply what she was teaching me. Misdiagnosed me!! Shared private information about other patients with me. Should not be allowed to practice. Needs mental health care herself!!
