Really disappointing experience. Booked here for our wedding night and paid extra for the penthouse to have for photos and positive experience for groomsmen. The owner advised there would be no air conditioning the day before and we still accepted the property ‘as is’ despite this being a challenge for the groomsmen to manage. We were then offered a secondary room to use which had airconditioning and appeared to be a nice gesture however my mum was unfortunately charged the sum of $390 without agreement as a ‘cleaning fee’. ... read more
We had a Fantastic little holiday, lots of fun in the pool and the park This was our second visit to the resort, unfortunately the staff did not provide a great experience . Firstly, When checking in I put a request to check in early which was approved months prior to the booking. When walking into the office to check in there was a lady at the desk, instead of greeting me she looked up at the clock and rolled her eyes, she said check in isn’t till 2pm. Highly recommend if you would like a nice place to stay with kids that is walking distance to both Avoca beach and the lake. Your room will depend on who you book with as they are rented separately. Our apartment was nice with plenty of space and a view out to the lake. The resort is well maintained and very clean. Swimming pool is nice, although a little small if you are sharing it with other guests. Other facilities like pool table and table tennis are a nice addition. Rooms are fine but service is ABSOLUTELY APPALLING.. Had someone we knew stay here a few years back from sydney, coming to the resort with 3 young children who has booked for 3 nights denied her stay by manager cathy. She had shown receipts of payment and booking just to be yelled at by the manager, so she had to go to another hotel last minute and paid $450 all because of poor management by the hotel.
