Went to Avoca Beach House for the locals night, Best view of Avoca Beach, good service and good food
Great location, however the building itself externally looked very run down on approach. It was my partners B'dauy lunch and this was noted when booking but no mention was made by staff, who in entirety didnt seem very well trained, more glorified meal runners. We had the signature seafood platter, however seafood was average (hot was better than cold) we were served mussels that hadnt opened and for $172 you would think that they would give you $2 of hot chips to go with the dish. Amazing views of an awesome beach creates the ambience, like a delicious topping on the magical meal that I and my friend ate with big gusto! Service was friendly - special shout out to Elis, Lily, Jack. And last, but not least, Le Chef, whoever you are, muchisimas gracias for food cooked to perfection.
Great summer menu. Staff are friendly, happy to answer any questions. Very relaxed environment. The food is wonderfully prepped and tasty and prepared by some excellent chef’s.
