Wonderful place about to close forever
We are very sorry to hear that Avo will be closing. My wife and I enjoyed dining at Avo weekly for the 10 years we lived in Uptown. It is a wonderful local restaurant with excellent food and friendly, attentive service. Avo was one of our favorite Uptown restaurants. We moved to Houston to be closer to our adult children and a newborn grandchild. Best wishes to Chef Lama and our staff friends in your next endeavors. Tim& Jo
My favorite Christmas tradition is back. I look forward to Avo's Feast of the Seven Fishes every year. Unique and delicious. Love the oyster, crab and artichoke soup.
Overall pretty average! Food wasn’t bad, on the pricier side, however. Got the lasagna and chicken piccata - both good but not great, $30-$40 per dish
