Overpriced and takes months to get anything done. Prescriptions take way too long and they use a 3rd party to review everything.

Since I am going in for heart surgery next Friday, and who knows at my age, so now I give my reviews in case I do not make it. They call their customer service by a new name, Member Engagement department, why? Because in my opinion, they are not service oriented as they could be, they are trained in my opinion to engage and confront and argue instead of serving or helping. Honestly, if AvMed's Owner truly prioritized customer concerns, he/she would address legitimate issues and work with members to resolve problems. Instead of dismissive responses they write after all negative reviews, but instead they should listen and adapt. Next year when re-enrollment comes around, we'll explore alternative options. Lesson learned: thorough researching NEGATIVE reviews is crucial. I'm grateful that I'm not facing a critical issue currently 🙏.
