The caregivers at Avista Senior Living Albuquerque are the best. I trust them completely with my husband who has Primary Progressive Dementia. When he first went there, he was like a walking zombie. After just a couple months, he came back to life. They have so many activities for the residents to participate in everyday. There are some staff that are very dedicated to what they do. They have taken very good care of my wife in the last year. Many work double shifts but always treat her with dignity, kindness and respect. I couldn't have found a better place for my wife.
Our family member spent the last eight months of his life at Avista, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. The staff was incredibly compassionate, attentive, and communicative about his needs. The doctors and nursing staff were responsive and truly cared for him as an individual, not just a patient. Our father spent his last two and a half years at Avista, and we feel so lucky to have found that place for him. Two things about Avista stand out. The physical setting is dominated by large airy common areas where residents can find ample room to explore and socialize.
