If I could give Avid Car Rental zero stars, I would. First, the pricing is a complete scam. When I asked the desk agent how much it would cost to rent a car, they casually said “around $220–$230,” and maybe “10% less if you book online.” So imagine my surprise when I found a $90 booking online — naturally, I booked it. I Booked a car In July at the California rental in Culver City California for September 15th. I get to california from New York and get a call from a representative telling me there are no more cars. I asked what do I do now? She didn’t have an answer and told me they’d call if a car is available. Never got a call! What’s the point of reserving a car if they can’t do that ? That really was so unprofessional and left me and my family in a bind.
Always good customer service and really good fleet of cars, this location is very convenient.
I had to rent a car because my car broke down the night before. Im an essential worker with 2 jobs trying to make ends meet. I rented online I use to be a regular at this branch when Yvette was running things.
