Having not been to Sydney Airport for a few years, I was shocked to find that the rental cars are now off-site and you need to catch a shuttle bus to pick up the car. Not just any bus, the blue and red Avis Bus, which is a 12 seater and there were 20 people in the queue so I had to wait for the next bus, lost almost an hour and had to push back my meeting that morning. I had amazing service from Georgie at the desk in the domestic terminal. She went above and beyond to look after myself and my children. She made the booking process easy, provided options and explanations, and made us feel welcome. Avis will be my first choice from here on it solely because of the care she showed.
Great hire car company with preferred. Note: you do have to take a shuttle bus from the airport to collect your car.
