Avis is great but the billing is horrible. I rent month to month contracts and pay weekly so they charge every week they hold the transaction until they you close the contract. The contract is only good for one month then you close it out. So they hold all your transactions. You payed every week until you close it out. they still have the holds on the transactions then they charge you the full amount for example you paid three payments $400 they hold those and then they charge the 1200 so they charged twice but you get the m... read more

Had an issue with car I rented at airport having bad battery got a jump from roadside assistance and was a mile from the Pleasanton Avis so took in there to try and switch out cars didn’t want to be stuck with a car with a dead battery. Was preparing myself for a hassle since I didn’t rent car from this location. Lorelei Cochiaosue listened to what happened and was understanding and happily said get you in a new car.
