Had a reservation for a car rental and when I arrived for pick-up, I was told it was a 1-2 hour wait because they did not have any cars.
I rented the car with 4/8 tank of gas and returned it with a full tank (8/8). After driving from my home to the Avis location, the fuel gauge dropped slightly, but clearly much less than 1/8. Somehow I was still charged $20 for returning the car at 7/8. This is totally ridiculous. I returned the car with more fuel than I received (4/8), yet you still tried to charge me and squeeze extra money out of customers. Will never rent from here again.
Confirmed reservation, got there and they said I had to have reserved more than 24 hours before so they didn’t have a car available. Apparently this is “always how it is” and it was my fault for not knowing that.
