My wife and I traveled to Las Vegas for our 30th Wedding Anniversary. We thought it would be nice to visit the North end of the Las Vegas Strip and do a little shopping, see Fremont St and some other locations as well as getting dinner out and using the rental car to take us to our Papillon Grand Canyon Helicopter tour on Aug 12. Rented a van to drive down the strip so that we could stop on the North end and visit shops and see the pawn starts location. Got to the other end and the gas light was already on. Paperwork said it had a full tank, it was a black van and it had 17129 miles. It was almost empty on gas, the van was white and it had 17122 miles. At this point i was worried we were in the wrong vehicle so I drove back to the rental center at Mandaly Bay but they left at 3:00 and my rental was picked up at 2:30. We are Presidential Club member. The man from avis in mandalay bay say "and" Avis Status is usless
This location exceeded my expectations. The attendant was cleaning the cars but left his number at the desk. Showed up only 2 minutes after calling him. Due to availability, I was given a free upgrade. All the tires had air and tread. He explained where the car was to the best of his ability. It wasn't a problem for me because I'm a young person. Successfully finished my 1,200 mile trip.
Guys this place has a bunch of 1 star reviews for a reason.... They are terrible. I gave them a shot anyway because it was convenient. We were supposed to have a free upgrade. They gave us a car smaller then we even paid for. It was a plugin hybrid with a dead battery. The stupid thing left us stranded in the desert. It was a horrible experience. We couldn't get in touch with anyone at Avis. We were finally able to get the car to start back and limped back to Mandalay. We were afraid to shut the car off to refuel and on this... read more
