I've used Avis for years and have never had a problem because I use the airport location. I saw that it was cheaper on Woodlawn so I chose that location. I called ahead of time and spoke to Jim and made sure they knew I was getting a free upgrade and had to have a bigger car because of medical issues. I was assured it would be no problem. He told me which car to choose so that we'd get the correct one once the upgrade was applied. On the day of the pickup, they only had small cars. Poor services.
I rented a car fot 2 weeks with Avis and was in a bad car accident, in my rental, was totaled. They had a new rental for me within a hour after the accident!! I will tell you to get insurance with Avis....it may cost more but l went through expedia BIG MISTAKE..for a month couldnt get ahold of them n got run around. It may cost more, but worth the stress. The Avis claims department Eric Bacon went above and beyond and helped me even file the claim...
Would not recommend this Avis location. We picked up a vehicle we had reservations for and immediately found trash from the previous renter still inside. The interior had clearly not been wiped down. When we went back in to report it and even offered to pay for an upgrade, the employee was dismissive and implied it was our fault, saying there wasn’t any trash.
