I had a reservation today, for an SUV and upon arrival I was informed that they didn’t have any SUVs available for me, but could upgrade me to a minivan! I mean come on!! Apparently inventory was low. If inventory is low then why accept my booking? They’re notorious for renting this cars for more money, to walkins!! You should probably close your doors if you dont have a single vehicle to rent...just saying!
There is no way to speak to someone at the local Avis Office. After 3 tries I am done - routed to the national call center. I wanted to rent an SUV car with a bike rack. The advice is when you pick up the car ask for a bike rack; hopefully they will have one! 🤣 BUT Avis can’t guarantee one will be available.
