We’ve rented from Avis a few times before and always had a smooth, pleasant experience until this visit. The person helping us this time (a South Asian man, I believe) came across as really dismissive and unfriendly. It honestly felt like we were inconveniencing him just by being there. It’s not hard to be kind, especially in a customer facing role. Hoping this was just a one-off and not the norm for this location.
Avis Victoria Park and Occonor is by far the best branch I have visited. The team is well led by Philip and the cars are always well cleaned and reliable. Keep up the great service.
I strongly advise against using this Avis location. Despite making a reservation for a car, when I arrived before closing to collect it, I was rudely directed to pick up the car at the airport location without any proper explanation. The staff essentially ran me off the property, offering no assistance and instructing me to call the reservations phone line for help. This was completely unacceptable.
