Friend rented online several days in advance,we drove him here all the way from Columbia and they said there is no car available, providing excuse that they were trying to call and inform, what is total lie. I see from reviews, it happened to many other people too. Do not trust them. Answer to your reply : What the point of giving it if we are driving him back home, all plans and bookings destroyed, wasted time, gas and money.
Bad customer service
I have always had a high opinion of AVIS, from their staff, to the vehicles. This is unfortunately not one of those reviews. I'll try to keep it short...I reserved a vehicle (instead of driving my own) to travel to 2 cities in Alabama. I ordered a cab to take me from Evans, GA to Augusta Regional airport for a 8am pickup on Monday, 08JUN2026...$64.00.
