I reserved a large SUV (Chevrolet Equinox or similar) at the Avis rental location at the Hilton in Gainesville, Florida. About 40 minutes before my scheduled pickup, I was informed that no cars were available. When I arrived around 10 minutes before my scheduled pick-up time, no one was at the counter, and after a good 20-minute wait, an attendant finally showed up and offered me a small SUV (Chevy Trax) he had just received or the option to wait for a larger vehicle expected to be delivered one or one and a half hours later... read more
