Avis has really gone downhill lately. Even with a confirmed reservation, they often don't have a car ready when you arrive. Instead, you're left waiting with no clear timeline, which completely defeats the purpose of making a reservation. On multiple occasions, I've also been told that the only vehicles available are electric cars. That's simply not practical when you're traveling long distances and planned your trip around having a gas-powered vehicle.
