AUG 7 2026 DO NoT REnt any cars from this location I am very disappointed with my experience with Avis. I showed up at the store the day before my scheduled pickup to confirm my reservation, only to receive a call from Elmhurst Avis informing me that the vehicle would not be available until approximately six hours after my scheduled 12:00 p.m. pickup time. This delay completely disrupted our plans and is unacceptable for a confirmed reservation. Customize service at the Elmhurst location is horrible.
I made reservation with AVIS representative on the phone Thursday evening for pick up on Friday at 1. I was assured I would not get an electric vehicle. On Friday, I recieved a message that they wouldn't have a car for me at the designated pick up time. I called as it got closer to pick up time, I was told all they had was an electric vehicle. When I shared it wasn't what I had reserved I was told that is all we have. To call AVIS to see if they could find something different. I called they could not find anything different.... read more
Scam! Reserved car and supervisor says all they have is a electric vehicle in the class of cars I wanted. Trying say EV is in same class. EV won't work where I'm going. I have to upgrade due to time schedule and get charged more. Called corporate and I find out EV is different class and I should NOT be charged upgrade if they don't have the vehicle I ordered. Waiting for final bill...
The staff here is excellent! Alec was able to get me in a car earlier than expected with no problems. I also left some important items in the car and they promptly called me back. They provide great service and care for their customers!
