Location not easy to find. Cars are awful inside and out, decrepit to put it mildly, ain’t chip all over the car they didn’t even do an inspection before I left, driver carpet all worn out. Office was filthy. I could go on but I’m sure folks get the picture. I usually rent through Costco from a competitor whose service for the most part is impeccable. Rented a vehicle through the Avis app, paid and arrived at the Cumberland location only to be told there were no cars available, that the local Avis centers would all be closing shortly, and the rep behind the counter could not “legally” call Avis to help on a customers behalf. Instead I’d have to call. After asking why Avis can’t call Avis, I requested a refund. Also no. I had to wait for 40 minutes here without anyone at the front desk. There was no key drop box available!When I picked up the car, there was an oil warning light on the dashboard and the fuel tank was not full. I immediately returned to the desk, and they told me the oil had recently been replaced, so I should ignore the warning. They also said they updated the system to allow the car to be returned with less fuel.
