Avoid Avis if you expect transparency and proper customer service. I was charged a deposit on my debit card when picking up the vehicle. The money was debited directly from my bank account. After returning the vehicle, I spent weeks trying to obtain a clear explanation regarding those funds. I have opened multiple cases and received contradictory responses from Avis.
