If I'm up north and need a rental car, I have my fingers crossed they have a car available (they usually do unless Northwestern is coming in or out). Bob and Dante are the absolute best. I won't name other places in the area but I've rented them all, and let's just say I found my spot. This place is deplorable not only is it filthy but customer service was horrible with faulty card reading machines. I prepaid my rental to come in and complete processing the Avis guy says the card machine isn’t reading my card so it’s not processing just for me to check my account and see I was charged for the deposit of the rental as well. July 10th update: Avis is currently offering me a $50.00 coupon to compensate for them renting out a car with tires below tread wear markers that ended up having a blowout on the highway. The taxi service that ended up saving the day cost $500 to get the rest of the 3 hours to our destination. Car had a blow out due to tires being below tire wear indicators. we were approximately 3 hours away from our final destination in middle of wisconsin. Car had a blow out due to tires being below tire wear indicators. we were approximately 3 hours away from our final destination in middle of wisconsin. Avis customer service support thought an uber would be available to drive us to an avis location 100 miles away. The tow service wouldn't take us because of dog. Thankfully, found a taxi service to drive us the remainder of the way. Currently, waiting on reimbursement for that service from AVIS which is currently a headache.
